Our political system has become a gerontocracy that is run by aged officials that fail to represent the interest of our country. They lack a vision for a future that they will not be a part of.

Our system of constitutional checks and balances have ceased to function because those in positions of power have ceased to represent the future of our great nation. While they struggle to maintain their strangle hold on power and fortune, they are incapable of addressing the serious economic, political, and policy challenges that we face.

We must stop sacrificing the youth, in favor of the old. We must usher in new leaders and start new traditions that our elected and appointed officials move out of government positions once they reach retirement age. This is a call to Americans of all ages, including fellow Baby Boomers, that if they won’t leave on their own accord, we must show them the door.
